Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit and Special Permit for the removal of six live and thirteen dead young growth redwood trees from the southwest corner of the Redwood Acres Fairground property. The harvesting will allow for removal of trees which are considered a hazard to public safety and endanger several nearby horse barn facilities. The trees range in size between 8" and 44" dbh, and approx. 0.1 acre of the 41-acre parcel will be subject to harvest activity. The gross volume of timber to be removed is estimated at 6,700 board feet. Following the tree removal the harvest area will be reseeded to provide a grass lawn area. This will be the last timber removal operation on this area.
