Document Description
Proposed Skyline Road Extension, will consist of a new two-lane undivided arterial road with 12-foot wide lanes and 4-foot wide paved shoulders, from State Route 36 (SR 36) to 900 feet north of Johnstonville Road. Skyline Road Extension would connect with the planned Skyline Road East project that is from the Skyline Road North intersection at State Route 139 to Johnstonville Road. Skyline Road Extension will also include an adjacent new paved eight-foot wide Class I bicycle path. Lassen County is proposing the project to relieve congestion along SR 36 (Main Street) and to provide a viable alternative for traffic traveling in the northern and eastern quadrants of the City of Susanville.
