Inland Empire Utilities Agency is proposing to recharge up to 4,000 acre-feet of treated wastewater effluent (recycled water) into the Chino Basin at the Jurupa Basin in Fontana. The goal is to replenish the Basin groundwater suply and reduce the need to purchase imported water supplies in accordance with the recently adopted Optimum Basin Management Plan.
