Document Description
BBID proposes to transfer to Zone 7, 2,238 acre feet net of water made available idling 1,617 acres of land historically in agricultural production. Water will be conveyed from BBID to Zone 7 July through September 2013. The transfer water will be made available at Clifton Court Forebay in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and pumped at the SWP Banks Pumping Plant in compliance with all applicable regulatory restrictions governing State Water Project operations. The Department of Water Resources (DWR) will deliver the transfer water to Zone 7's service area. The transfer water is intended to alleviate water shortages within the Buyer's service area due to ongoing dry conditions and would not support new development.
