Document Description
Southern California Edison has applied to the CA State Lands Commission to amend Lease No. PRC 8097 to expand the Wheeler North Reef. Construction, long-term monitoring, and evaluation of the Wheeler North Reef is required under a Coastal Development Permit issued by the CA State Lands Commission for the operation of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 2 and 3. To ensure that Wheeler North Reef will meet all absolute and relative performance standards under the CCC's CDP, the proposed project would supplement the existing Wheeler North Reef by creating approx 210 acres of additional kelp reef on low-relief quarry rocks.
