THE BMWD 1995 WATER MASTER PLAN IDENTIFIES THE WATER SUPPLY INFRASTRUCTURE REQUIRED TO SERVE THE FORECAST POPULATION GROWTH WITHIN THE DISTRICT'S APPROX. 17000 ACRE SERVICE AREA THROUGH THE YEAR 2015. A BUILD-OUT SCENARIO FOR THE DISTRICT IS ALSO DESCRIBED. THE DISTRICT EXAMINED SEVERAL ALTERNATIVES, INCLUDING DIFFERENT GROWTH RATES AND GROWTH INDUCEMENT, ADDRESSING WATER SUPPLIES UNDER THE ADJUDICATED REDUCTIONS IN WATER EXTRACTIONS FROM THE MOJAVE RIVER BASIN, AND ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF USING IMPORTED WATER.
