THE 1997 AQMP INCLUDES BOTH SHORT AND INTERMEDIATE-TERM MEASURES AS WELL AS LONG-TERM AND CONTINGENCY CONTROL MEASURES DESIGNED TO REDUCE CRITERIA POLLUTANTS AND DEMONSTRATE ATTAINMENT OF STATE AND NATIOANL AMBIENT AIR QUALITY STANDARDS.A WIDE VARIETY OF STATIONARY AND MOBILE SOURCES ARE CONSIDERED FOR REGULATION BY THE CONTROL MEASURES BUT NO INDIRECT SOURCE MEASURES ARE BEING CONSIDERED AT THIS TIME.THE 1997 AQMP ALSO INCLUDES ADDITIONAL MARKET INCENTIVE MEASURES NEW REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED IN THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN AIR ACT (CCAA)AND FEDERAL CLEAN AIR ACT AMENDMENTS (CAAA);THE PM10 ATTAINMENT DEMONSTRATION FOR THE BASIN THE REVISED OZONE DEMONSTRATION THE PLAN AND AMENDMENTS TO THE CO AND NO2 STATE IMPLEMENTATION PLANS (SIP) AND THE FEDERAL VOC RATE OF PROGRESS PLAN. THE 1997 AQMP HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS HAVING THE POTENTIAL TO GENERATE SIGNIFICANT ADVERSE IMPACTS ON WATER QUALITY AND SIGNIFICANT ADVERSE CUMULATIVE HAZARD IMPACTS.
