Document Description
The 2001 Clean Air Plan (1998 CAP) is a comprehensive strategy as required by the Federal Clean Air Act to show how the County will reduce ozone pollution to meet health standards. The 2001 CAP includes an updated emission inventory, control measures to show attainment demonstration, and contingency provisions. The 2001 CAP also addresses the California Clean Air Act requirements. The implementation of control measures in the 2001 CAP will reduce emissions of the ozone precuresors (reactive organic gases and nitrogen oxides). The control measures in the 2001 CAP are substantially the same as the control measures in the1998 Clean Air Plan and were analyzed in the 1991 AQAP EIR and subsequent environmental documents.
