CDFW has executed Amendment No. 5, a major amendment to the already amended Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA) number 1600-2013-0194-R4, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project Applicant, Caltrans. Project involves activities related to roadway realignment and widening work on SR 180 where it crosses over the Centerville-Kingsburg Canal, China Slough, Collins Creek, the Kings River, Cameron Slough, Byrd Slough, the Carmelita Canal, and the Mount Campbell Canal. This Major Amendment No. 5 amends the Agreement documenting CDFW's recent issuance of take authorization under Incidental Take Permit No. 2081-2018-030-04 for take of Swainson's hawk incidental to Project-related activities.
