Document Description
The IFCSWQS is proposed to accommodate surface drainage from development proposed within the previously approved First Phase Project area. The IFCSWQS is proposed as an interim use to serve First Phase Project development; specifically, to provide the flood control and surface water quality treatment functions that would otherwise be provided by the Playa Vista Freshwater Marsh that was approved as part of the Playa Vista First Phase Project, but is currently enjoined from construction. The IFCSWQS is designed to discharge stormwater from Area D into a temporary water quality and detention facility in the central portion of Area D. From this facility, stormwater would be discharged either into the Centinela Ditch or the Ballona Channel.
