Document Description
The proposed project is an expansion of an existing sand and gravel surface mine and related aggregate processing facility. The total project area is to expand from approximately 891 acres to 1206 acres. The total mining acreage is proposed to expand from 315 acres 727 acres. The existing permit was approved for 20 years on January 26, 1992. The expansion proposes to add 30 years to the life of the permit. Approximately 65 milliion tons of sand and gravel is to be mined in five proposed phases with the proposed expansion. The applicant does not propose to increase annual tonnages, increase truck traffic or construct additional processing plants.
