DEIS CONSIDERING FIVE SITE-SPECIFIC SKI AREA DEVELOPMENT PLAN ALTERNATIVES AND A NO ACTION ALTERNATIVE FOR THE MT SHASTA SKI AREA. ALL ACTION ALTERNATIVES INCLUDE FROM 5 TO 7 SKI LIFTS, 1 TO 3 BASE LODGES, AND OTHER FACILITIES TO SUPPORT 3,800 TO 5,000 SKIERS AT ONE TIME. SUPPLEMENTAL EIS WILL BE PREPARED TO CONSIDER REASONABLE ALTERNATIVES, INCLUDING THE POSSIBILITY OF DEVELOPMENT TO THE EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED SITE'S SKI AREA CAPACITY.
