Document Description
Currently, the 20-acre University Village is developed with student housing in 27 buildings that provide 836 beds, basketball and volleyball courts, laundry facilities, and a community center. The University Village Phase III project involves the infill development with 8 residential buildings providing 510 beds, for approximately 1,346 beds. The existing community center will be expanded, and two existing laundry buildings and the existing maintenance buildings will be removed and the facilities incorporated into the new residential buildings. The buildings will contain rooftop communication equipment to provide internet access to residents. 836 parking spaces will be provided. In addition, improvements that may include a pedestrian bridge across the San Jose Creek Flood Channel, improved shuttle services between the village and the campus, and/or other pedestrian improvements will also be provided.
