Document Description
As a result of the 2018 Carr-Fire in Shasta County, a number of large culverts were damaged and rendered inoperable. In addition to the risk of flooding and loss of ingress or egress to property owners within the burn area, water quality of numerous Sacramento River tributaries face impacts related to increased road crossing erosion and related increases in sediment loading if these culverts become plugged and either overtopped or washed out. Carr-Fire Pollution Mitigation Project: Post Fire Response Project work includes the replacement of 8 damaged/destroyed road culverts and related infrastructure (such as trash racks) located throughout the Carr Fire burn area.
