Document Description
The LS-2 force main connecting LS-2 with the South Orange County Wastewater Authority Coastal Treatment Plant has shown signs of deterioration and detailed analysis indicated significant metal loss and the possibility of failure of the force main. As a result, the district evaluated several options for repair or replacement of the force main. After conducting a value engineering analysis the district concluded that "sliplining" the existing pipe provided the best option for repairing the force main with the least potential for environmental impacts during construction.
