Document Description
Replace the roofs on the exterior buildings at Sutter's Fort State Historic Park to stop deterioration due to water intrusion and to aid in the preservation of this historic structure. Work will:
Remove existing roof materials down to the skip sheathing and repair/replace skip sheathing, as needed, with in-kind materials;
Install 30 lb. felt paper over sip sheathing;
Install 5/8" CDX Plywood over 30 lb. felt paper;
Install waterproof membrane over plywood;
Install cold roof assembly;
Install new, in-kind, wood shakes in place of removed wood shakes and use appropriate flashing, exposure, fastener type, and fastener placement where designated;
On the Kybrurz Annex, Distillery, and the two Bastions, install new faux, in-kind, shake clay tiles to replace the removed faux shake clay tiles and use appropriate flashing, exposure, fastener type, and fastener placement where designated;
Replace gutters, using appropriate mounting and adequate fall for proper drainage; and
Replace seventeen (17) existing galvanized rain leaders and rain leader wooden covers with in-kind materials.
