Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead
The San Luis Obispo County Public Works Department proposes to remove and replace the existing Salinas Avenue culvert crossing (two 36" corrugated metal pipes) with two new 66" high density polyethylene pipes on a new alignment. The purpose of the project is to improve safety. The existing corrugated metal pipes are old, rusted, and silted in due to poor creek conveyance. The project is necessary to improve stormwater conveyance through the neighborhood, which will reduce localized flooding and stagnant water. Vegetation management and debris removal will be performed downstream of the new culvert discharge to the Eddy Street Bridge as part of this project. The project is located on Salinas Ave, where Toad Creek crosses under the roadway, between Eddy and Hawley St, in the community of Templeton.
