Document Description
The project would develop a 1,500 acre-ft reservoir with diversions occurring from the Lower Kaweah River and the Friant-Kern Canal on to a 380 acre parcel. Specific project elements would include excavation of the project site to form storage basins with irregular levee orientation and intra-basin conveyance structures, construction of diversion inlet structures from the Lower Kaweah River, construction of a gravity return structure to the Lower Kaweah River and an exterior interception and drain system along the east, west and south property boundaries. Equipment meeting Tier 4 Final air quality compliance criteria is a project element only for those items of equipment utilized in the excavation, stockpiling, loading and transportation of earth related to the development of the storage basins and related basin levees.
