The district is proposing to construct the La Mirada Recycled Water Pipeline Expansion Project to expand the existing RWDS in south Santa Fe Springs into the city of La Mirada. The proposed project's objective is to provide recycled water to potential customers in Springs in the city of La Mirada that are currently irrigating landscaped areas with potable water. The proposed pipeline system would consist of a total of approx 39,100 ft of pipelines originating at Bonavista Ave south of Gannet St in the adjacent city of Santa Fe Springs. From there, the new pipeline would continue east within Gannet St, north on Biola Ave, and would generally travel north and east through the city of La Mirada with several branch lines extending to customer sites at various locations along the locations along the main truck lines. The proposed project would require a pump station and reservoir, which would be located on the southern portion of a property owned by the city of La Mirada located to the south of the intersection of Biola Ave and Stage Rd.
