Document Description
Application for a Coastal Development Conditional Use, and Architectural Review Permits for construction of a two-story, 37-room hotel with a detached 507 sq. ft. cafe and ice cream stand with indoor and outdoor seating. Project parking would be located underground (below the two-story hotel) and at grade. A total of thirty nine parking spaces are proposed. The project consists of a single lot of record located at 2655 Shell Beach Road east of the intersection with Spyglass Road. total site area (gross) is 0.56 acres. The project site is vacant and was previously occupied by a gasoline service station demolished in 2008. The project also includes a request fora reduction in off-street parking (39 parking spaces are proposed instead of the required 42 parking spaces) as allowed by Zoning Code Section 17.34.050(A)(1).
