Document Description
Demolition of Existing Butte Fire Station and Unit Headquarters Site demolition would include all buildings on-site except for the two Emergency Command Center (ECC) buildings and the ECC tower located in the northeast corner of the Project site. In addition to building demolition, the existing hose rack, fuel tanks and propane tanks, all existing utilities and appurtenances including water distribution lines, sewer lines, and gas lines, and existing concrete retaining walls, asphalt concrete paving and concrete sidewalks would be removed. A utility pole located on the eastern boundary would also be relocated. Lastly, clearing, grubbing, and tree removal would occur as required within the limits of the Project site. New Butte Fire Station and Unit Headquarters After demolition, a new fire station and unit administrative headquarters complex would be constructed. New facilities would include: administrative building, three-bay fire apparatus building, 20-bed barracks/mess hall, warehouse/service center, two-bay dozer shed, auto shop, covered vehicle wash rack with filtration system, maintenance support building, physical fitness building, a generator/storage building, a fire pump test pit and several other site improvements.
