Present Land Use
Agricultural Cropland and Grazing (A-CG)
Document Description
The project is limited to using streambank bioengineering techniques along 650 linear feet of the western bank of the Scott River to restore and stabilize an actively eroding bank, which is currently causing agricultural fields to slough into the river adding fine sediment to a reach that provides spawning and rearing habitat for Chinook and coho salmon. If left untreated, the continued erosion has the potential to flank behind existing riparian vegetation and cause significant damage to both instream riverine habitat, as well as agricultural production.
