Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0086-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of San Jose. The Project includes the replacement of an existing railroad trestle bridge with a single-span bridge for bicycle and pedestrian use. Creosote-coated piles of the existing bridge will be removed using complete-removal methods and partial-removal methods. The new bridge will be a 210-foot-long and 14-foot-wide single-span steel truss bridge with concrete decking and abutments installed through excavation and pile driving. A walkway and viewing deck of approximately 32 feet in length will be placed near the southern abutment. The amendment includes addition of 1,360 square feet rock slope protection on the north bank.
