Document Description
The Project entails removal of sedimentation utilizing either a clamshell bucket from a derrick barge or a barge-mounted excavator at two sites. A total of approximately 34,000 cubic yards (CY) of sediment will be removed at both sites. This amount includes approximately 18,700 CY of sediment removed to a depth of 10 feet below Mean Lower Low Water level (MLLW) with an additional 8,800 CY that may be removed as a function of over-depth dredging to a depth of 11 feet below MLLW at the marina site and 5,400 CY of sediment removed from the F-dock area to a depth of 14 feet below MLLW with an additional 1,100 CY that may be removed as a function of over-depth dredging to a depth of 15 feet below MLLW. The sediment removed from the marina area and F-dock will be transported via bottom dump scow to the aquatic disposal facility, Alcatraz SF-11 or SF-DODS. CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement, Number 1600-2013-0023-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Permittee, Port of Redwood City.
