Document Description
The proposed project will replace the existing outlet works of the dam with a new outlet works consisting of the following:
- construction of a tunnel to carry a new outlet pipe,
- the construction of a multi-port inclined intake structure,
- the construction of a terminal energy dissipation structure and the subsequent abandonment of the existing outlet pipe by plugging it with concrete,
- new control buildings for operation of the control valves, and
- installation of instruments to monitor regional tectonic movements.
Construction would occur in two phases, estimated to take one year each.
