Document Description
Project would be constructed in two phases of development. The first phase would consist of the bridge abutment testing operation to observe soil foundation structural interaction. This phase would also include site grading, creation of an open storage area, and the construction of new access to the site from the Elliott Field Station main access road. A temporary trailer and generator will be placed on the site to support this research until Phase II is implemented. The second phase would consist of development of a high performance outdoor shake table and high energy impact simulator to be used for seismic and materials testing. Phase II would also include the construction of one or two buildings with a total size of approximately 4,000 gsf to house office space/ control room and power supply equipment, as well as utility installation.
