Document Description
The operator (Orange County Sanitation District) proposes to alter the streambed to gain access to the Operator's existing SARI sewer line to perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance operations at fifteen (15) manholes, which are located along the north side of the floodplain of the Santa Ana River. These fifteen manholes can be accessed by truck from La Palma Avenue to the Orange County Flood Control District's levee maintenance road and ramps, located to the north of the Santa Ana River. Clearing of riparian vegetation and minor grading of paths, not to exceed twelve feet wide, is necessary to gain access to several of these manholes from the District's access roads and ramps. In addition, a ten-foot-wide area will be cleared of all vegetation around each of the manholes. The proposed project will impact 0.074 acre of riparian habitat.
