Document Description
The proposed Engineering-Science Building will consist of approximately 59,500 assignable square feet, or approximately 102,600 gross square feet of development. The building will include classroom space, instructional laboratories, scholarly activity and research, and faculty and administrative space. The proposed building will be stepped from three to four stories in height, with a maximum height of 45 feet. The building will consist of three elements: clean rooms, generic laboratories, and offices and meeting/teaching spaces. The proposed location of the Engineering-Science Building is on the east side of Main Campus, north of the existing Engineering II Building. The project site is designated for Academic Uses in the UCSB LRDP. The project site is currently occupied by Temporary Building (TB) 514 and the western portion of the Parking Lot 10 TB 514 and the western portion of Parking Lot 10 will be removed prior to the commencement of construction activities.
